Weapons

Weapons are used when making attack actions and come in two variants: melee weapons and ranged weapons. A fighter may be equipped with up to two melee weapons and one ranged weapon.

Dual Wielding

If a fighter is equipped with two melee weapons of the same type (for example, two swords), they are considered to be dual wielding. While a fighter is dual wielding, improve the Attack characteristic of the weapon they are using by 1.

Natural Weapons

Some fighters (such as beasts) have natural weapons listed directly on their fighter profile, representing claws, jaws, and other physical features. Natural weapons function like regular weapons, but are a part of the fighter's body and can never be replaced or discarded.

Special rules

Blast

When making a hit roll with this weapon, for each roll of 6, allocate 2 damage points to another visible fighter within 1” of the target of the attack action.

Blessed

Increase the Fight characteristic of the wielder by 1 when making attack actions against fighters with the `UNDEAD` or `DAEMON` keyword.

Brace

A fighter may be equipped with two weapons with this special rule and have it count as a single ranged weapon.

Mighty 1

When a fighter makes an attack action with this weapon, increase their Fight characteristic by 1 if it is a melee weapon, or their Shoot characteristic by 1 if it is a ranged weapon.

Mighty 2

When a fighter makes an attack action with this weapon, increase their Fight characteristic by 1 if it is a melee weapon, or their Shoot characteristic by 1 if it is a ranged weapon.

One-use

This weapon can only be used for one attack action each battle.

Parry

When a fighter armed with this weapon is the target of a melee attack action, increase its Defense characteristic by 1.

Reload

This weapon must be reloaded after being used for an attack action. A fighter can reload one of their weapons with this special rule when making the wait action.

Two Handed

This weapon counts as two hand weapons for the sake of equipment restrictions.

Unreliable

When making an attack action with this weapon, if any hit rolls result in a 1, all hit rolls are discarded and the attack action ends.

Whipcrack

When making melee attack actions with this weapon, the target cannot make reactions.
