The End Phase

Step 1: Check Warband Morale

As your warband suffer casualties in battle, your warband’s morale will start to waver, causing fighters to panic and eventually break and run.

The warband morale starts wavering once half your fighters (rounding up) has been taken out of action, and will continue to do so until the battle ends. While wavering, your fighters must pass a Bravery test when they are first activated, or become panicked.

Withdraw from battle

If your warband is wavering, instead of starting a new battle round, you can decide to voluntarily withdraw from the battle:

  • Friendly fighters within 1” of enemy fighters immediately drop any wyrdstone tokens they are carrying, and are then removed from the battlefield.
  • Fighters removed in this manner are not considered to be taken out of action and do not suffer from injuries.

The battle ends, and the enemy warband is the winner regardless of the victory conditions. Any wyrdstone tokens left on battlefield are recovered by the enemy warband.

Step 2: Start a new battle round
